Weaknesses

Armadon’s weakness heatmap

Armadon’s weakness map represents the probability of weak points spawning on various alien body parts. Green color highlights the areas where these points generate less often, whereas, in the places marked red, they appear most frequently. Please note that in no way does it affect the damage dealt unless you attack the weak point directly. So, for example, if you target the tentacles when no weak point is present, you’ll get the same result as if you tried to attack the back.

Resistances

Armadons are very heavy creatures. They seem to be relatively calm and non-hostile to animals most of the time. It’s a whole nother story when you enrage one, though. They will charge at you and ram anything in their path. Using a weapon that has the Hatred effect will easily shift their focus on the survivor that wields it.
Despite having an almost impenetrable skin, their bodies don’t cope well with hemorrhages. So, using anything that can inflict a deep wound will give you an advantage in battle.

  •  Bleed – 40% vulnerability
  •  Blind – 0% resistance
  •  Dizzy – 0% resistance
  •  Fear – 97% resistance
  •  Hatred – 100% vulnerability
  •  Ignite – 50% resistance
  •  Poison – 0% resistance
  •  Stun – 99% resistance

Resistances affect a weapon’s base debuff multiplier (100%). With no resistance, the chance to apply a debuff is what you see on a weapon’s card. So, for example, if your weapon has a 10% Ignite enhancement, each hit with that weapon has 10% (base chance) * (100% – 0%) (base debuff multiplier) = 10% chance to apply Ignite debuff. However, with Armadons’ 50% resistance against the debuff, that number is lowered to 10% * (100% – 50%) = 5% chance. Alternatively, a weapon with a 10% Hatred enhancement would be more effective due to Armadons being vulnerable to the Hatred debuff. 10% * (100% + 100%) = 20% chance to make the target hate you.

Lore

Armadon is a mighty herbivore with very aggressive behavior. Due to its daring attitude, it’s one of the most transported species by the clouds. After the teleport, they remain enraged for an extended period of time and attack any living beings in sight. The fleeing creatures are often dragged further into the Stream because they seek shelter in the clouds, away from Armadons wreaking havoc.
