I swear their neck was different yesterday!
~A survivor group arguing
Overhear comes from Leiosa, where it usually lives in vast swamps or steppes. It is very fast, intelligent, and extremely aggressive. It is especially dangerous for humans, because it views all bipedal creatures as potential rivals in a given territory. An injured individual usually withdraws from the fight. People often confuse these individuals, as they often change the color of their necks. If Overhear is attacking, the best way to make it stop the attack is to lay flat on the ground.

Weaknesses
Ovearhear’s weakness map represents the probability of weak points spawning on various alien body parts. Green color highlights the areas where these points generate less often, whereas, in places marked red, they appear most frequently. Please note that in no way does it affect the damage dealt unless you attack the weak point directly.
Special Action (Escape)
- The wounded Overhear flees in terror.
- The greater the injuries, the higher the likelihood of the creature’s special action activating.
- In the first round, Overhear is going to get “Fear” status, in the next round it will run away.
Resistances
Overhears have plenty of vulnerabilities, making almost any debuff-enhanced weapon viable. However, their thick skulls are an exception. They negate stuns almost completely, which would probably make them good drinkers.
- Bleed – 50% vulnerability
- Blind – 0% resistance
- Dizzy – 20% vulnerability
- Fear – 30% vulnerability
- Hatred – 40% vulnerability
- Ignite – 20% vulnerability
- Poison – 50% vulnerability
- Stun – 75% resistance
Resistances affect a weapon’s base debuff multiplier (100%). With no resistance, the chance to apply a debuff is what you see on a weapon’s card. So, for example, if your weapon has a 10% Stun enhancement, each hit with that weapon has 10% (base chance) * (100% – 0%) (base debuff multiplier) = 10% chance to apply Stun debuff. However, with Overhear’s 75% resistance against the debuff, that number is lowered to 10% * (100% – 75%) = 2.5% chance. Alternatively, a weapon with a 10% Hatred enhancement would be more effective due to Overhear being vulnerable to the Hatred debuff. 10% * (100% + 40%) = 14% chance to make the target hate you.
