Weaknesses

Viatcher’s weakness heatmap

Viatcher’s weakness map represents the probability of weakpoints spawning on various alien body parts. Green color highlights the areas where these points generate less often, whereas, in the places marked red, they appear most frequently. Please note that in no way does it affect the damage dealt unless you attack the weakpoint directly. So, for example, if you target the head when no weakpoint is present, you’ll get the same result as if you tried to attack the right side of the body.

Resistances

Viatchers are impulsive and curious by nature, which makes them easily distractable towards a single target. They might retreat at the sight of fire, but they aren’t weaker against it than other creatures. They may not be resistant to many effects, but their skull is heavily armored, that’s why their eyesight is pretty poor.

  • Bleed – 0% resistance
  • Blind – 80% resistance
  • Dizzy – 0% resistance
  • Fear – 10% resistance
  • Hatred – 70% vulnerability
  • Ignite – 0% resistance
  • Poison – 0% resistance
  • Stun – 0% resistance

Resistances affect a weapon’s base debuff multiplier (100%). With no resistance, the chance to apply a debuff is what you see on a weapon’s card. So, for example, if your weapon has a 10% Fear enhancement, each hit with that weapon has 10% (base chance) * (100% – 0%) (base debuff multiplier) = 10% chance to apply the Fear debuff. However, with Viatchers’ 10% resistance against the debuff, that number is lowered to 10% * (100% – 10%) = 9% chance. Alternatively, a weapon with a 10% Hatred enhancement would be more effective due to the impulsive nature of Viatchers. 10% * (100% + 70%) = 17% chance to make the creature hate a survivor.

Lore

Viatcher is a predator that survived in a parasitic world of Sinsecta after arriving from the previous Stream planet, its homeworld. It was able to resist the parasites due to strong chemical compounds residing in its snout. Viatchers learned that it’s the safest to curl up the body when entering the clouds. They were one of the main predators on their home planet but jumping between subsequent worlds caused their bodies to shrink significantly. However, the Leiosa world helped them regain their magnificent sizes.
