The races on Devia are slow but species from the previous Stream planets have serious difficulties adapting to the conditions on the planet.
The Wood People, the dominant race, have a wooden texture on their thick brown skin. Like many other species of Devia, they breathe carbon dioxide, which is why there is a lot of oxygen produced here.
